BRAVO Youth Orchestras Program Director: Present Position
As of BRAVO Youth Orchestras is a non-profit organization created to transform the lives of underserved children and youth through intensive, ensemble-based music instruction. BRAVO is inspired by El Sistema, Venezuela’s national program of social action through music, and is a member of El Sistema USA. BRAVO launched in September 2013 with a strings and chorus program at Rosa Parks Elementary School and now serves about 60 students after-school in grades 2-5. In 2015, BRAVO extended the program to grades 3-8 at the César Chávez School and now serves approx 100 students. As of 2019, BRAVO is hosted in 6 schools in the North Portland cluster. www.oregonbravo.org
